Food Drive

The first and most proudest initiative the Rotaract Club of Brisbane International launched after its inception is a monthly food drive alongside Rosies at Musgrave Park, West End.

This is one of the club’s core commitments to help serve our local community through feeding our patrons with delicious food and developing friendships. On the last Tuesday of every month, a small team of enthusiastic club members will kindly serve delicious home cooked meals and supply useful care packages.

One of our key objectives that we set out to achieve is to go beyond the action of simply serving meals. We take the priority to getting too know the members of the community - through listening to their stories, passions and perspectives - has created stimulating conversations and positive relationships. In addition, we encourage the patrons to express what they need and try our best to provide it, such as; stationary equipment, non-perishable foods and warm clothing.

We ensure all our meals are nutritious, healthy and most importantly warms the tummy’s of our guests. Each month, the menu changes depending on what is in season and what the feedback from our patrons are. This great initiative is only made possible from our incredible parent club - Rotary Club of Brisbane International; whom cook and prepare all the restaurant quality meals for each food drive. Through their tremendous collaboration, the positive impact and enrichment of the community is undeniably inspiring.

We are extremely proud in what we have accomplished thus far and the impact it has had towards the community. Even more so, we are grateful to have this experience to not only help grow as a club, but also as young adults that pursue expanding our own realities and cultivating our compassion for one another.
